Sustainable Local Agriculture

Vermont needs to achieve a truly sustainable local agriculture. This means growing as much of our food locally as possible, not putting family farms out of business. One way to encourage this will be to require anyone receiving food stamps to only purchase local food. A food backed currency is also something that I would look into instating.

If the 20th century was about optimizing everything, I bet the 21st is about de-optimizing certain things. By de-optimizing, I mean making decisions about what is important, what is useful, and what is a distraction. Then, making the distractions less accessible, harder to get to, and more difficult to embrace.
