Healthcare needs to be free for everyone. It’s not a question of how to work universal healthcare into the budget. When composing a state budget it is necessary to start with universal healthcare, and work from there.
All residents of Vermont will get free healthcare including dental and mental.
Marijuana will be legalized for medicinal/spiritual/inspirational use for responsible adults over the age of 18. A marijuana tax will help pay for healthcare.
Psilocybin mushrooms will be legalized to further research into their ability to cure cluster headaches and depression.
I believe that people need to be allowed to learn how to drink alcohol safely. You can’t expect people to not drink at all until they are 21 and then immediately know how drink responsibly. Thus the drinking age will be lowered to 18.
