Sustainable Local Agriculture
Vermont needs to achieve a truly sustainable local agriculture. This means growing as much of our food locally as possible, not putting family farms out of business. One way to encourage this will be to require anyone receiving food stamps to only purchase local food. A food backed currency is also something that I would look into instating.

Recycle North (ReStore)
My heart was broken today when I visited Recycle North. I encountered 3 boys throwing VCRs, video game systems and other quality items into a dumpster. I asked them what they were doing and they explained they were volunteering and were told to throw all this “broken” stuff into the dumpster. I went through some of the stuff with them, finding many un-opened (plastic wrapped) cassette...

I am upset that IRV was repealed yesterday in Burlington. The voters were certainly not informed on this issue.
