WatchWatch
An informative and entertaining video about the giant garbage island in the pacific ocean. Just because Vermont isn’t on the west coast doesn’t make us immune to this issue. I think there needs to be some sort of deterrent to using plastic.

conference call with Bernie
Currently on the conference call with Bernie Sanders on healthcare. Sounds good Bernie. I like his plan for single payer healthcare in Vermont. I think we can do it, and I want to help him put it into action. Thanks for the positive info. Bernie Sanders for Vermont

Supreme Court Rejects Campaign Spending Limits →
soupsoup: The Supreme Court has ruled that corporations may spend freely to support or oppose candidates for president and Congress, easing decades-old limits on their participation in federal campaigns. The court on Thursday overturned a 20-year-old ruling that said corporations can be prohibited from using money from their general treasuries to pay for campaign ads. The decision almost...

Recycling/Efficiency
The 3Rs, reduce, reuse, and recycle, are ordered according to their importance. Recycling is all too often the first strategy that people turn to. Too many items which can still be used are thrown away or recycled. Efficiency education needs to be highly emphasized in the public school curriculum. Educated staff must work at all town dumps to assess what can be recycled for materials, what can be...

Technology
A municipal utility (similar to water and electricity) needs to be created which provides internet for all of Vermont. This Internet service provider would uphold net neutrality. references: Burlington Telecom Net Neutrality (wikipedia)

Sucession
Vermont family farms will get a gigantic tax break. Ideally, Vermont will secede from the union to remove our ties from the federal government. The United States has ceased to be a government for the people by the people. Corruption is quite obviously rampant in the federal government. Corporations, which are only concerned with profit, control and profit from war, health insurance, food, prisons,...

Transportation
Gasoline powered car transport is unsustainable and destroying the environment. Electric cars are nice, though don’t appear a viable replacement for cars. Public transport will be encouraged through incentives, gasoline taxes and education. A High speed rail system will be built servicing Vermont’s the largest towns. Money from the gasoline tax will go towards augmenting roads with...

Healthcare
Healthcare needs to be free for everyone. It’s not a question of how to work universal healthcare into the budget. When composing a state budget it is necessary to start with universal healthcare, and work from there. All residents of Vermont will get free healthcare including dental and mental. Marijuana will be legalized for medicinal/spiritual/inspirational use for responsible adults...
